A Little About Alexis...the woman behind the blog.
I grew up in Southern California and have transplanted to Utah where my husband, Alan, and I met at BYU. We are currently living with my parents...wah wah. But for a good reason! Alan is in the middle of switching careers and will be doing student teaching in the fall to become a seminary teacher. So we're saving up as much money as we can and will hopefully move into a house when hopefully Alan gets a full time teaching job. Some big hopes right? But it will all work out!
That's one of my mottos, it's all going to work out!
Here are some fun things about me.
I love love love the beach, swimming, and sunshine. I tell my husband all the time that the best feeling in the world is after swimming, laying on your towel, and feeling the sun bake away all the water...aaahhh! Love it!
I love taking pictures of my family. I love making digital photo books and being able to look at our fun experiences and see my girls grow up.
I love to teach and am thinking about starting a preschool next year to help with the teacher income we'll soon get. :-)
I hate spiders, but I like snakes. Not enough to ever have one as a pet, but I'm not afraid to touch them. Not wild ones, but pet ones.
I get really excited about ideas and projects! And maybe they don't always work out, but I enjoy trying new things and creating things! I'll always give it a try!
I speak a little Spanish. I did study abroad in Spain while in college and minored in Spanish. But I find that the language is quickly leaving me. I can understand a lot, but don't speak it very well...
Someday I want to get to Hawaii, Ireland, and anywhere in Central/South America. I love to travel and those are my top 3 destinations!
We want to have a lot of kids! And when I say a lot, I mean like 6 or 7. So you may see an increase in children if you read my blog over the next few years. My girls are only 16 months apart, so we like to get them here fast!

Alan and I were married in 2009 when we were in our early twenties - so we're young and learning as we go. We have learned a lot in our 3 years of marriage and wanted to share it with you!
My husband is working full time and working on becoming a teacher and I'm a stay at home mom with our two little girls, who we like to call Kami and Clo.

We thought we should write a book about everything you need to know in your early married years from the experiences we've had, but we decided to do a blog instead. So we hope you enjoy seeing what we've learned and hopefully you have some comments too! We hope our blog will be informative to people of all ages and at all stages of life.
